Weekly Round-up!

So starting a new blog/adding another commitment to my already hectic schedule may not have been my best idea. I really do want to continue with this blog, but please bear with me during the exam period.

I want the content I put out to be good, high quality stuff! None of this half hearted lark! So trust me when I say that after the 20th of May, posts will be getting a lot more frequent!

Ergh, got that out the way.....what's been happening this week? The general election, obvs.... Can't say I am best pleased with the result, but hey ho (Labour voter here....but lets not get into the messy deets that is politics...)

At least moaning about the state of politics in the UK has been a pleasant distraction from the looming exams that threaten to overshadow any joy in this world.....(I kid, but then spend 5 hours in the library without moving)

I did take a break last night to go to dinner with my friend... had the most lush vietnamese food from the Bang Bang Canteen...... I can't cook tofu myself, but oh my days, what they did to it was heavenly!

Whoops, cheeky leg shot! This was my lunch today, with a salsa that I had made (for dinner tonight (Sunday)) It was rather lovely if I say so myself! Tonight I'm cooking tacos and my boyfriend (cringe at writing that, but yeah....) He isn't vegan, or even vegetarian (in fact the lad lives for meat, and is a body builder)... but he does tolerate my excessive vegetable consumption and is willing to try stuff!

I feel like cooking for non-veggies/vegans is a whole other post, so stay tuned! (no promises til after the 20th though I'm afraid :( )

Here's a quick look at what I have been reading/procrastinating with this week!
  • 5 Ways the Bible Supports Feminism.... interesting look, when unfortunately 9/10 it is used to put women down (by misinformed numpties)
  • Things People Don't Tell You About Contraception.... As my SSC this year, I volunteered with Sexspression, a charity that teaches sex education in school. Having come from a school with very little, poor sex ed, it was important to me to help educate others. People make better choices when they are fully informed, and I like to think I may have helped in that. This post really helps to cut through some of the BS surrounding contraception (still waiting on the man pill though!)
  • Finally, In Praise of Women Who Give All the Fucks! My friend sent me this link and well, I think it is pretty bloody spot on!
